Project Description:

Missouri took a major step in improving preparedness in schools through the implementation of SafePlans’ Emergency Response Information Plan (ERIP).  This first of its kind system aids schools in emergency management by integrating planning, training and access to tactical response information.

The Missouri program is the nation's largest educational preparedness initiative, encompassing over 7,000 K-12 schools, child care centers and higher education facilities.

Statewide Public Health & Pandemic Planning System

Project Description:

In 2006, the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) provided a limited version of ERIP that allowed schools to create public health and pandemic influenza related plans online.  The response to this innovative approach was tremendous; with over 1,500 schools registering for the program and DHSS receiving national recognition.

Project Description:

After receiving a 2006 Safe Schools Healthy Students grant award, the Alamo Navajo Community contracted with SafePlans to implement an emergency preparedness program that encompasses their entire community. 

This project will provide the community with the most comprehensive program available; including web-based NIMS compliant emergency planning, web-based on-demand training, detailed site mapping of each school campus and portable incident command kits for each school.

The Alamo Navajo Community is part of the Navajo Nation.

Project Description:

Park Hill School District was a recipient of a 2005 ERCM grant.  As part of their program to improve a robust and detailed emergency preparedness program, Park Hill contracted SafePlans to provide a comprehensive assessment.  The 300+ page document detailed areas that work well, challenges and impediments while making specific “best-practice” recommendations.

Station Nightclub Fire
After Action Report

Project Description:

SafePlans was sub-contracted to work in a supportive capacity on the After Action Report that outlines the emergency response to the tragic nightclub fire in which 100 persons perished.  Funded and supervised by Department of Homeland Security, Office of Domestic Preparedness, the areas examined and addressed within this report by SafePlans included incident command, emergency response and emergency services planning, training and equipment.
